Meet my new baby…

My new Nikon d7000.

So my old and trusted Pentax K10d for 4 1/2 years together with it’s additional 50-200mm lens already retired to the good hands and eye of my awesome little sister, Erika (*go and follow her!), who obviously has the eye for photography. She takes better pictures than I do. =)

BTW, I got this as a gift for my BS degree graduation from my parents. I got it from Singapore which is a little bit cheaper compared from the price here in the PH since it’s tax-free.

It has 18-105mm lens and as a bonus dad also gave me a SB900 external flash.

I’m still in the process of learning and experimenting. I still haven’t maximize it’s full potential since I haven’t seriously shoot around eversince I got it (except for some portraiture and vanity shots) due to my overwhelming schedule. Hopefully, I can give justice to this baby. I know that having an overly priced camera won’t make me a photographer or even close to one. But yes, still has alot to learn and explore and I really need to maximize it. =)

Uhm, but I’m really thankful that for the previous 4 years, I have been blessed enough that my dad handed me down his pentax. I really enjoyed clicking, focusing and being candid with it, and somehow pentax became my bestfriend. It has been with me in my most important events and without it I wouldn’t be able to develop some shutter-eye (somehow!).

P.S. can you suggest a name for my new baby? haha.
